If you are planning domestic travel or entering a federal facility, you will be required to have what is now being referred to as a Real ID, or Star card.
Beginning May 7, 2025, you will no longer be able to use a non-Real ID compliant driver’s license or state identification to board a domestic flight. If you do not have a Real ID, you may still use a current passport.
Stop by the Boundary County Drivers Licensing office at 6566 Main Street, Bonners Ferry in the old National Guard armory building across from Safeway for more information or to upgrade your driver’s license or state identification.
