Sky Reinhardt

Sky Reinhardt, son of Ben Reinhardt and Dr. Liegia Reinhardt, Bonners Ferry High School graduate and junior at the University of Idaho, placed fifth in the nation in soil judging, at the national championships held in Wisconsin this week. The University of Idaho soil judging placed first in the team championships.

According to the University of Idaho website, “the University of Idaho Soil Judging Team equips students with skills in soil taxonomy, morphology, reading landscapes and making land-use interpretations. The team uses field trips and classroom sessions to become better land stewards and more competitive in the professional workplace. Each semester culminates in a regional or national soil judging competition.”
