Compliance checks lead to multiple charges

On the evening of May 14, the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office, in close cooperation with Boundary County Probation and Parole and with support from the Bonners Ferry Police Department, conducted a series of probation compliance checks throughout Boundary County.

The operation led to the arrest of four offenders, who now face a combined total of 16 misdemeanor and felony charges. Authorities anticipate additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.

During the checks, deputies seized methamphetamine, rifles, pistols, ammunition, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

“These compliance checks demonstrate our commitment to holding offenders accountable and ensuring the safety of our community,” Sheriff Travis Stolley said. “The collaboration between our Sheriff’s Office, Probation and Parole, and the Bonners Ferry Police Department was instrumental in achieving these results. We will continue to work diligently to uphold the law and protect Boundary County residents.”
