Luck down, Heather hopes for help to come home

Heather Stephens in more hopeful times

Heather Stevens has had a spell of tough luck of late and she’s trying to make her way back home. With nothing panning out, she’s asking for help from her community. Her kids are in Boundary County, she’s in Shasta County, California, where she had hoped to find work.

There was none, and now, after two months living in her compact Chevy SUV, she has no money for food or fuel to drive to Crescent Valley, Nevada, or for the trailer she’ll need to haul her Ford Escape. What little she had dwindled away. She watched and cried as two dear pets died, with nothing she could do. She’s all but given up in the magic of new beginnings. She wants only to come home.

She has a motorhome in Crescent Valley she hopes to drive north to North Idaho and family.

“Please help,” she asks. “My luck hasn’t been too great lately. I’ve lost so much and I’ve tried so hard. My ultimate goal is to drive my motorhome to Idaho where my kids live. I just need a little help. I don’t want to lose anymore … I just want to go home.”

Those who would like to help a friend in need come home can donate to her via cashapp to $wildtigers89 or GoFundMe.

Those who’d rather mail their donations that she’ll have money waiting when she gets here can send checks payable to Heather Stephens, c/o 9B.News, 6735 Selkirk St., Apt 12, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805.
