This year, five $1,000 scholarships were awarded to 2025 female graduates of Bonners Ferry High School by the Bonners Ferry Chapter AP of P.E.O. Award winners included Sydney Hinthorn, Rylie Kimball, Amy Carver, Morgan Tye and Kimberly Lucas.

These scholarships are made possible through the support of the local community during our fundraising events, a holiday nut sales and a spring yard sale.

One of the scholarships is awarded in the memory of Mary Hayes, a longtime local P.E.O. member. Her son George Hayes, who farms near Porthill, attended the luncheon and presented a $1,000 check for next year’s Mary Hayes scholarship. This year’s Mary Hayes Memorial scholarship was awarded to Sydney Hinthorn.
