Let’s Build a Skatepark – a message from Boundary County Skatepark Alliance

We’re planning to do something fun on Saturday June 21, National Go Skateboarding Day, and are looking for ideas and volunteers’ participants.
The Wish list includes possible concessions (we don’t expect donations for that), Possible Music (We have a machine and can run tunes but live is always better), and my favorite, if any of you Drone pilot out there want to take video, that would be awesome.
We will have a booth at this year’s fair inside the pavilion and want good pictures and video to show the public. Also, I would love to have a skate dad or skater run some sort of contests during the day. and act as an MC.
We’re approaching local businesses for donated items for a unique fair raffle.
Our new Spark Plug, Ken Nichols is sending out our first letter looking for sponsorship, more on that as things develop.
On a final Note, this park isn’t going to be just for skateboards, but with the flow bowl and pump track, we will serve in-line skaters, scouter kids, and BMX riders (No pegs please) and with colored concrete for transitions, we enable our vision impaired users as well.
Let’s build a skate park!
