Hallie and Hana Hartman, twin daughters of Kip and Ginny Hartman of Bonners Ferry, have qualified to participate in the Nike Outdoor Nationals set to begin on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Eugene, Oregon.
“Hallie and Hana have been competing in shot put and discus since the 7th grade and are two of the top throwers in Idaho.” Their mom, Ginny says, “Last year they both competed in Junior Olympics in Austin, Texas. They both made it to regionals for shot put and Hallie competed at Nationals also in Austin Texas. She did not place but had a great experience.”
They both qualified and placed at state this year for the Bonners Ferry Badgers with Hana taking third in shot put and Hallie second.
“Both girls are being recruited by colleges across the country,” Ginny goes on, “They are looking forward to competing on a collegiate level after graduation next year.”
The Hartman twins will be joining a host of other track and field athletes from across the county at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon from Thursday, June 19 through Sunday, June 22.
