Longtime Moyie Springs resident Dr. Jacob Francom was sworn in as a member of the Moyie Springs City Council June 4 by Mayor Geoff Hollenbeck.
Francom was the sole applicant to step in to assume the council vacancy left by the unexpected resignation of city councilman Terry Johnson May 7 after 15 years of exemplary service to the city.
Dr. Francom, president of the North Idaho Classical Academy and former long-time superintendent of the Troy, Montana, School District, will serve until January 2026, and seek election to a full term in November.
