Dale Arthur Wanamaker, 71, passed peacefully at home on June 14, 2025 due to complications from a stroke. Dale was a mischievous man who often had a twinkle in his eye that made you wonder what trouble he was up to. He could make you laugh and roll your eyes at the same time.
He would “push your buttons,” just because. Dale lived a life that was packed with stories, some he would share, but for others he would say, “I’d have to kill you if I told you.”
Dale’s talented woodworking, home improvement projects and crafty art pieces are shared throughout the homes of his family and friends. Dale had a true love of Alaska, fishing, hunting, skiing, and soccer which brought him many lifelong friends. He loved to socialize with these friends, and strangers alike – often over an IPA “filled to the brim, with no foam.” If you met Dale, you got a glimpse of his loyalty and commitment to his family, and of course, to his opinions.
Dale is deeply loved and survived by his wife Rosanne Wanamaker (Gitti), children Taylor (Kristine) Wanamaker, Gabriel Wanamaker, Britana (Cole) Uppinghouse, Nicole (Garret) Christenson; grandchildren Jax, Daphne, Amelia, Poppy, Iris, Dale; and many other dearly beloved family members and friends. (As Dale would say, “You know who you are.”)

Rosanne,
We are saddened to hear of Dale’s passing. So many moments with all of you! Been flashing through the images in my head from soccer games, track meets, parties and get together. I remember the broom hockey game we played against the girls at the ice arena. Dale and I teamed up and scored a goal against them!
Please say hello to Nicole, Britany (and Cole-didn’t know they were married!). Know we are thinking of you. Let us know if there is a service.
We will remember the good times.
Love,
Jan, Marty, Michelle (Matt), And Stephanie (Joe)
Roseanne and family,
Bill and I are so sorry to hear of Dales passing. Dale was a good person with a wild sense of humor. I used to love trading barbs with him at work. He was always up for a laugh and a beer. He usually stole my beer when I wasn’t looking and drank the whole thing. He would then try to tell me I had drank it and should not have anymore if I couldn’t remember drinking it. I know Dale will be joking and singing with the Angles. Bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
“What’s your malfunction?” was how Dale always greeted us, while doing his pelvis thrust shaky dance. He was our nut and everyone liked him. I ran track, cross country, marathons and skied with him for years. I only beat him once, the Portage Glacier race, and his Dad questioned him as to why he lost to the likes of me! Lol We did Spring skiing at Hatcher Pass and once jumped the road right in front of a motorhome. The driver said he would film us and send us a copy if we’d do it again. So we climbed back up and did it again, doing daffy ducks and making faces. We never received a copy. What a great friend to have in high school. I could tell you more, but then I’d have to kill you. Lol
