Becks Furniture … the little shop that could

Beck’s Furniture Store came together when Richard and Sherry Beck decided to step out and leap into an industry that is ever changing in trends. After moving to Bonners Ferry from Illinois with two children looking for a new life, they worked hard to make ends meet for their family.

In 1980, Rich and Sherry opened a little shop, The Furniture Valet, providing antique furniture restoration and upholstering. Having gained experience, knowledge and some insight into the furniture industry, they saw an opportunity in 1996 and Beck’s Furniture Store opened its
doors at 6443 McCall Street in Bonners Ferry. Their experience in furniture restoration and upholstering has enabled them to search out manufacturers that provide a quality product with the affordability this area demands.

In 2015 their oldest son, Rob Beck, returned to continue the furniture service to the community. Rob brings 20 plus years of experience in the computer technology and business fields working in California and Colorado. As a graduate from the College of Business at the University of
Idaho, Rob is happy to return to his home town and grow the store to match the communities home furnishings needs.

  1. I think something that you forgot to include with “what you will find at Beck’s Furniture” is really good people. There’s a mixture of BF-seasoned, and BF-new. In my limited experience there, but seasoned otherwise, Beck’s (the Becks and staff) embody good business in a small town going through big/tough/confusing changes. THEY KNOW THEIR BIZ!..and that is rare…people and all.
