
11:44 p.m.: From Boundary County Emergency Management — Fire crews will be patrolling and monitoring the Clover Fire throughout the night. Flames and smoke will continue to be visible, though no homes are immediately threatened. No homes were burned in the fire, though a few out-buildings such as a shed and a horse barn were reported as destroyed. The fire is approximately 25% contained. Firefighters have been fighting the fire continuously since early afternoon and will resume their attack in the morning. Idaho Department of Lands has assumed command of the fire.
Clover Lane remains evacuated, and previously evacuated areas remain in “Set” status. Residences up to a mile north of Sandy Ridge Road are in “Ready” status
8:55 p.m. From Boundary County Emergency Management — Evacuations have been lifted for all areas affected by the Clover Fire, with the exception of residences on Clover Lane, which remain evacuated in “GO” status. Residents in all other areas may return to their homes, and will remain in a “SET” status for the night, prepared to depart if necessary. Residents north of Sandy Ridge Road should remain “Ready” to evacuate should conditions change.

7:23 p.m. From Boundary County Emergency Management: Clarification: The Red Cross DOES allow pets in their shelters, and the county fairgrounds shelter will have limited capacity to house pets in kennels in a separate building. However, family pets won’t be allowed inside buildings other than the one specifically designated for pets. Evacuees needing shelter are welcome to bring their pets to the fairgrounds, they will just need to house their pets in a building that is separate from the evac shelter.

6:30 p.m.: Limitless Outpost has free dinner tonight for evacuees and first responders.
6:25 p.m.: From Boundary County Emergency Management — Evacuees from the Clover Fire burning north of Naples will not be returning to their homes tonight. The source of the fire (a burning deck of logs) is still actively burning and poses a risk of spread due to high winds. Evacuees can go to the Boundary County Fairgrounds to seek shelter if needed. The American Red Cross will be operating the evacuation shelter in Memorial Hall. Livestock can be evacuated to the Fairgrounds also. Pets are not allowed in the shelter, so please plan accordingly.
Multiple aircraft have been battling the fire in support of ground operations and have dropped retardant to surround the fire. Firefighters on the ground will continue to fight the fire overnight.
Power lines in the area have been de-energized for firefighter safety and because several power poles caught fire. Some residents will be without power until at least tomorrow.
Road Closure: Deep Creek Loop from Schoolhouse Rd to Highland Flats is closed to through traffic due to firefighting activity. Only residents will be allowed through. Please stay clear of the area unless you are a resident needing access to your home.

6:09 p.m.: From IDL — Numerous structures are threatened, and evacuations are underway due to a fire near Naples, ID, estimated at 15 acres. The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office is coordinating the evacuations affecting 30 residences currently.
The Sheriff has declared those within the following boundaries to be in GO status and to evacuate immediately:
- North of Alta Mill,
- South of Sandy Ridge Road,
- West of Highway 95 and
- East of Deep Creek Loop
Those who are within 1 mile north of Sandy Ridge Road are in SET status and should be ready to go at any time. An evacuation center has been set up at the Boundary County Fairgrounds Memorial Hall, with capacity for evacuated livestock.

The Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) is battling the fire with the assistance of multiple cooperating agencies. The fire is being driven by high winds and is burning in large log decks between Highway 2 and Highway 95 near the Alta Forest Products mill.
There are four air tankers, two helicopters, two bulldozers, and five engines on scene. A 20-person hand crew has been ordered.
4:44 p.m.: Highway 95 has reopened.
4:27 p.m.: Boundary County Fair personnel are offering housing for animals and people affected by the fire, (208) 946-0244. Anyone with dogs or cats that need to evacuate, Selkirk Kennels has some room, (208) 267-7860.
4:21 p.m.: From the sheriff’s office: All residences from Sandy Ridge Road in Naples north for one mile are now in SET evacuation stage. Be prepared to leave with little notice.
3:54 p.m.: Highway 95 is closed due to this fire.
3:38 p.m.: Power is being shut off to the area. The fire command post has been move a quarter-mile south to Alta Mill property. Aircraft will be dropping water soon. IDL crews are setting up on Sandy Ridge Road.
2:57 p.m.: From the sheriff’s office: Emergent evacuation notice for wildfire in Naples Idaho. All residences within a half mile north of Alta Mill in Naples. All people in the zone leave now. This may be your only notice.
2:30 p.m.: Residents in the area of this fire should prepare to evacuate.
2:03 p.m.: Multiple fire crews are responding to a report of a fire on Clover Lane in the Naples area.
