Kootenai River Days is happening this weekend, complete with the Rotary Wine and Barley Walk, street dances, the Kootenai River Run, Farmers Market, dunk tanks, golf tournaments.
The All Class Reunion is taking place, which will bring generations of Boundary County school kids back to town.
One of the popular events at the Kootenai River Days is Chalk the Block, which has in three years become a Bonners Ferry staple, with artists coming from far and wide to chalk the blocks of downtown Bonners Ferry.
Chalk the Block was a dream that Hannah Sucsy, owner of Teascarlet Fine Art, had years ago and in 2022 she made it a reality. She wants people to just make art.
“Head to the gallery, grab a bucket of chalk, pick a spot on a sidewalk, and let your imagination run wild.” Hannah says. “Enter the contest (optional) and then vote on your favorite in each category. Prizes will be awarded to six different category winners.”
