Have you ever attended an event at the Kenny Mendenhall Stadium? Have you ever had the pleasure of attending a Badger football game or track meet? If you have, you probably remember the covered bleachers, the only covered bleachers in the whole of 4A Idaho sporting events, that have been there steady and strong for a half a century.
Fan after fan, and parent after parent, brothers, sisters, friends, Romans and countrymen were fortunate enough to be held by the stadium seats built nearly five decades ago.
After numerous repairs, it was finally decided and in 2023 and 2024 the old and faithful, stadium was torn down and a new one replaced it. An ADA compliant sidewalk was situated from the bleachers to the concession stand and a railing now dons the walkway for the new elevated stadium. The seats now stained and sanded replaced the weathered blue Badgers boards that once were. A new era for the Kenny Mendenhall Stadium is underway and a fresh look for the stadium is here.
