Crayton Garrett, 10, Bonners Ferry is competing for Youth Athlete of the Year and a chance to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine. You can help Crayton make it to the top 20 by voting through August 7 at athleteoftheyear.org/2025/crayton-9360.
Crayton, the son of Jeremy and Marie Garrett, is home-schooled and entering fifth grade. He plays baseball, basketball and soccer, he skis and recently found a love for mountain biking. His favorite sport is Baseball.
At 5’3″, and already taller than his Mom, Crayton is quite a powerhouse. He consistently trains in the off season and enjoys pitching at his rebound net and swing trainer, visiting batting cages and kicking around the soccer ball in his back yard.
Crayton’s constant is that he is focused on improving his skill. He never loses focus of being an encouraging team player. His mantra is “practice more today, be better tomorrow.”
Outside of sports, Crayton is very active in his community. He excels in school and all that is hard work, all with a humble ability.
Crayton is deserving and would be thrilled to make it to the top 20!
