North Bench Fire District receives much needed equipment

Bob McLean, the auxiliary treasurer hands Chief Baker the check for much needed equipment.
With the generosity of the community the Auxiliary was able to present a check tonight to Chief Ken Baker with the funds to buy a Seek Fire Pro and a reciprocating saw; his two top requests for needed equipment.
The Seek Fire Pro is a thermal imaging device that sees through smoke to find victims, sees hazards and detects heat. It will allow firefighters to move safely through a building when they can see where the fire is in their surroundings.
The reciprocating saw will be used to saw through various materials such as cars, locks and wood and will assist the firefighter in more quickly and efficiently freeing or moving various people, animals or objects.
