On Tuesday, Donald John Trump positively glowed throughout a more than three-hour televised “cabinet meeting,” and rightly so. No other president in U.S. history has ever listened to so many flattering lies nor had so much smoke blown up his gaping gazebo than he. Like a hot air self-seal baggie, the hot air should have lifted his phat-ass to Uranus.
“Today, President Donald J. Trump held the seventh Cabinet meeting of his second term — gathering members of the Trump Administration together ahead of Labor Day to celebrate the victories American workers have experienced over the past eight months,” he had posted to the official White HoIt is hard to fathom how even the most die-hard MAGA folk, having seen this sickly saccherine, obsequious display of abject sycophancy could have kept from puking on their shoes. But in ten years, and especially the last 220 days, there has been much malignant MAGA stupidity I haven’t been able to fathom.
“Mr. President, I invite you to see your big, beautiful face on a banner in front of the Department of Labor, because you are really the transformational president of the American worker,” Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer.
In what may well have been the only truth spoken during the sycophant soiree, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said, “Thank you for saving college football, by the way. We’re all very grateful. The country just feels different.”
Boy, howdy, lord love a duck, does it ever.
It feels like fascism. It is fascism. And it is demanded by a privileged weakling whose greatest skills are lying, cheating, blaming, hating and losing.
It is a national travesty and a disgrace upon freedom-loving people everywhere. And the shame taints not only this worthless and fatally dangerous president, but his cabinet, his administration and his sycophants in the judicial branches, the legislative branches and the executive branches of government — not just federal, but those Trump sycophants in branches in every state, territory, county, parish, commonwealth and municipality whose elected members swear fealty to a constitution dedicated to the proposition that all men, all people, have equality and dignity.
Trump and his religious right, cock-fighting pro-wrassling white supremacist, misogynistic, immoral and criminal leaders, the brainless anti-vax, anti-science, anti-decency bigots who are killing our nation’s constitutional republic along with decency, the rule of law, the right to speak to power. The right to due process.
Is it any surprise I hold little to no respect for Trump, MAGA or its goats?
