Innovia awards $63,395 to Boundary County entities

More than two dozen nonprofit organizations serving North Idaho’s Bonner and Boundary Counties have recently been awarded $311,057 in grants through the Equinox Foundation Grant Program at Innovia Foundation, with $63,395 going to Boundary County organizations.

The Equinox Foundation partners with Innovia Foundation to provide a grant program benefiting communities in Bonner and Boundary counties. This family foundation was founded on the values of wisdom, integrity, and environmental stewardship.

  • Trinity Lutheran Church, $10,000 Boundary County Weekend Supplemental Food Program
  • Boundary County Free Library District received a grant totaling $4,479 for the development of children’s early literacy materials through the Tonie Box project.
  • 4-H Clubs & Affiliated 4-H Organizations, $11,000 4-H Friday Friends
  • Boundary County Historical Society, Inc., $14,737 Transforming Collections Management & Community Preservation
  • Boundary County Free Library District, $4,479 Early Literacy Tonies Project
  • Boundary County School District – Robotics, $7,500 2130 Alpha+ Robotics Program
  • Boundary County Youth Crisis & Domestic Violence Hotline, Inc., $11,200 Shelter & Rental Assistance Impacting Quality of Life

Recipients in Bonner County are:

  • A $10,000 grant to Idaho Trails Association, where funding will support more than 20 volunteer trail work projects, providing up to 100 miles of trail maintenance in Bonner and Boundary counties.
  • Bonner Soil & Water Conservation District, $2,500 General Operating Support
  • City of East Hope, Idaho, $15,000 Pavilion Picnic Tables
  • City of Priest River, $15,000 City of Priest River
  • Community Cancer Services, $10,000 Cancer Burden Relief Project
  • Community Coalition for Families, $10,000 Emergency Housing and Transportation
  • Farmin Stidwell Elementary Lake Pend Oreille School District Outdoor Education, $2,640 Trout in the Classroom and for Life
  • First Judicial District CASA Program, Inc., $12,000 Bonner/Boundary Operations
  • Friends of the Shelter dba Better Together Animal Alliance, $10,000 Better Together Animal Alliance Community Support Programs
  • Idaho Trails Association, $10,000 Keep Trails Open for Boundary and Bonner County Residents
  • Kaniksu Land Trust, $15,000 Building Community Through Land, Learning, and Stewardship
