Ron Smith remains committed to public service

I have proudly called Boundary County home for 47 years. Over the past 43 years, I’ve dedicated my life to public service—as Sheriff, County Commissioner, and City Councilman. My wife, Evelyn, and I have been married for 66 wonderful years, and we both share a deep commitment to our community.

My time in office, along with my ongoing involvement in local affairs, has given me a unique perspective on the needs and values of our residents. I currently serve on the board of the SPOT bus because I believe accessible transportation is essential for our citizens — young and old alike.

I will continue to seek out opportunities that benefit our community and work hard to turn those opportunities into real, lasting improvements.

As a longtime supporter of our local schools and students, I’m proud to be known as “Mr. Badger.” I’m an avid Badger fan and believe in fostering strong school and community spirit.

I remain committed to serving the people of Bonners Ferry with integrity, experience, and heart. I would appreciate your vote for City Council November 4.

  1. You might want to put the person’s whole name somewhere on this article! A lot of Smiths in this county I suspect, plus it just makes sense to name him by his full name.

  2. Every true Bonners Ferry local knows Ron. He’s an amazing man and a living icon. He has my vote!
