For the second year in a row, Accurate Northwest Autobody has sponsored a meat drive in support of our local senior center.

On October 16, the Senior’s Hospitality Center was presented with a check in the amount of $3,625 to help the center provide meat to local seniors with healthy meals at the center as well as the Meals on Wheels program. Additionally, a total of 923 pounds of chicken was donated along with a donation of four pigs left over from the local fair and one lamb and one beef were donated by Co-Op Gas and Supply, one pig from Stolley Homes, Panhandle Nursery and Bones Inc.

According to Linda Lederhos, these donations will carry the senior center through several months.

The Senior’s Hospitality Center would like to thank all of the generous doners for their support in their mission to make sure that no senior goes hungry.

The Senior’s Hospitality Center would like the community to know that they are always accepting donations. If you would like to donate in any way, please call them at (208) 267-5553 or stop by 6635 Lincoln Street in Bonners Ferry.
