SNAP benefits to be delayed due to government shut down

Do you receive food stamp benefits from the State of Idaho? Do you use an EBT card to pay for your groceries?

The issuing and processing of SNAP benefits, also known as food stamps, will be temporarily delayed for the month of November and potentially beyond, due to the federal government shut down. While you may still apply for SNAP benefits, the processing and issuing of new SNAP application will be delayed.

At this time, it is unknown when funding will resume.

According to the Idaho State Department of Health and Welfare, this delay will not affect WIC benefits.

For questions regarding the delay, you may contact Idaho CareLine at 211 or (800) 926-2588.
