The Rotary Club of Bonners Ferry donated $1,340 to the Community Giving Day. Earlier this week, Rotary President Sandy Johnstone and program chair Jon VanGesen presented event coordinator Samantha Banuet and Liz Sanborn, Community Action Partnership, with the check to purchase holiday season meals for Boundary County families.
Rotarians and guests were challenged to step up and donate to help fill this immediate need in our community, and once again, they exceeded all expectations.
Community Giving Day will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, November 22, inther parking lot at Mountain Springs Church, 6789 Main Street, Bonners Ferry.
Thanksgiving dinners are free to anyone in need of a little extra help this holiday season. Sign up by contacting the Community Action Partnership at (208) 267-3663 or stop by 6665 Main Street. If you would like to donate, are willing to help prepare for the event or to pitch in on Community Giving Day, contact Samantha at (208) 889-1493.
