Adventure R.I.D.G.E. is a children’s community activity hub right here in Bonners Ferry. They are located at 6665 Main Street in Bonners Ferry for now. They opened in June of 2025 but have already outgrown their current space. Beginning December 2, they will be open at their new location at 56 Plato Drive (Middle Bay) near the Three-Mile intersection.
Brandon and Alycia Shaver began Adventure Ridge out of a desire to bring community together in a unique way by focusing on STEM Education and the great outdoors.
“At Adventure Ridge, our main goal is to foster connection, create community, encourage children’s imagination and creativity and explore the great outdoors.” Alycia says.
Adventure Ridge offers a wide variety of youth classes and clubs as well as other events. They have what is called The Fox’s Den, which is a resource to help encourage kids to be created and read fun and wholesome books.
They have a number of activities happening this week:
November 18 – 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Art class: Norman Rockwell Art Geared towards ages 6-12
3 p.m. – 4 p.m. Homeschool Chess Club This week kids will be learning how to play 4 – way chess geared towards ages 8-12 $5 per student and free if attending art class.
November 19 – 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Young Minds Engineering: Build a structure to withstand Water Erosion for ages 8 – 12 $15 per student
1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Open Play – All Ages Welcome
1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. Open Craft Time – Beaded Corn – All Ages Welcome – $5 per child
November 20 – 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Science Class: Reptiles: Let’s learn About Gators and Crocs $10 per student and is geared towards Ages 4 – 9
1 – 4 p.m. Open Play – All Ages Welcome
November 21 – 9 a.m. -1 p.m. Open Play – All Ages Welcome
10:30 – 11:00 a.m. Reading Campfire: Story Time It’s Turkey Time! Geared towards Ages 7 and below
Adventurer Book Club: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. cancelled this week.
November hours are as follows:
Tuesday through Thursday 1 to 4 p.m.
Friday – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
