Firewood Rescue is a local a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing folks in Bonner and Boundary Counties who are cold and needing a one-time delivery of free firewood on an emergency basis.
Applicants must be faced with difficult circumstances and primarily use wood for heat. Firewood Rescue will deliver a load based on the truck size of the volunteer delivering wood to you, usually about a half cord.
Priority consideration is given to low-income/disabled individuals, the elderly and individuals who are seriously ill.
Wood is provided by the hard work of volunteers in our community to benefit those in need. They encourage folks to apply for energy assistance through resources like Community Action Partnership.
Firewood Rescue does not take any money for firewood or for deliveries, but donations from the community are welcome.
