Lady Badgers Western Montana Wrestling Invitational

Fighters Sofia Brown and Nevaeh Therrien were both crowned champions at the Western Montana Wrestling Invitational in Ronan, Montana, for the Badger girls wrestling team. Aubree Graves also made it to the championship match at her weight class, but fell short and took second place.

First year wrestler Kylie Calderone placed sixth and freshman Melody Graves had a rough go on the first day, but was entered into the JV portion of the tournament on day two and came away with a second place finish. The five Badger girls took sixth out of 24 teams.

Great job, girls and coaches! For the Badger boys with large 32 man brackets and lots of matches during the two-day event, Hunter Pope and Stryder Liermann battled long and hard and both came out with fifth place finishes. Our JV boys came alive on Saturday with many placers.

Ethan Mathew’s, Austin Goodnight and Parker Hanson each finished taking second and Israel Johnson took third. Great Job Badgers!
