Boundary County residents, those in the law enforcement community who’ve served Boundary County at any time since the early- to mid-1970s, Boundary Search and Dive Rescue and Boundary Ambulance and Volunteer Ambulance personnel who have served at any time in the history of either organization, all Boundary County Special Olympians and coaches and all bicentennial Bonners Ferry Class of 1976 Badgers are asked, (apologies for such short notice) to dig deep, dust off your favorite memories and Kramerisms and attend the open house for Dave Kramer from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Boundary County Annex, 6566 Main Street, Bonners Ferry.
Kramer has been working to keep Bonners Ferry and Boundary County safe since age 15 when he became a Boundary Count Explorer. At age 19 he took the oath to protect and serve as a patrolman in the Bonners Ferry Police Department, where he served for 30 years, 20 of them as chief after stepping up to take the place of his friend and mentor, the late Chief Don Hamilton.
After 50 years of dedication and service, Dave Kramer will retire his last badge in service to his community when Sheriff-elect Travis Stolley is sworn in on Monday, January 13.
