Brian and Roberta Zimmerman and some of their grandchildren. At the rate Brian’s going, he’ll never take up the rocker!

Two new and two returning county elected officials were sworn in this morning on the steps of the Boundary County Courthouse, but the big surprise is the departure of Undersheriff Rich Stephens after 21 years of service and the return to uniform of Brian Zimmerman, who is stepping in to serve as Sheriff Travis Stolley’s undersheriff.

Stolley was one of the new county elected officials, and he’s hard at work putting his administration in place, and Les Pinkerton, the other new face, has been sworn and taken his seat as Boundary County’s newest commissioner representing District 1.

In addition to the newcomers, County Clerk Glenda Poston also administered oaths of office to winning incumbents Ben Robertson, County Commissioner District 3 and County Prosecuting Attorney Andrakay Pluid.
