Five Lady Badgers traveled to Missoula Montana this weekend to take the mats at the Hellgate Girls Invitational wrestling tournament where 29 teams showed up to compete in this annual event. The Badger girls represented well in two days and brought home some hardware.
Sofia Brown, wrestling at 135 and Nevaeh Therrien, wrestling at 110, both took first place. Aubree Graves, wrestling at 120, took fourth place after a number of rough and tumble matches.
Melody Graves, wrestling at 114 and Kylie Calderone, wrestling at 100, went on to the hard luck tournament or second chance bracket and made it out with wins to finish the tournament strong.
Sofia Brown led the Badgers with 33.5 points and first place followed by Nevaeh Therrien with 32 and first place. Aubree Graves had 22 points and fourth place, Melody Graces with 8 points and Kylie Calderone with 4.5 points bringing the Badger team total to 100 points even and 10th place overall.
The girls next meet is at home on Thursday, January 23rd at 7 p.m. Go Badgers!
