Burger Express; a local restaurant and popular hangout has gone above and beyond the call of duty.  In 2024, this Bonners Ferry fixture hosted not less than six fundraiser events for local children’s groups and non-profit organizations with plans to host one per month in 2025. With the supervision of trained staff, volunteers from various groups across the county have suited up in Burger Express gear and served.

How does this work, you ask?  Members of the groups volunteer to come and serve dinner in support of their cause. Burger Express donates a prime time of day, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. once a month to that cause and one hundred percent of all of the dollars earned for each order go back into that cause.  Volunteers take orders, pass out food, clean tables and greet people.  The Burger Express team does one hundred percent of cooking, prep work and clean up and does it all with joy.  Under the supervision of managers Stormy Benson and Brandon Erickson, the Burger Express team’s well-oiled machine has been a blessing to so many in this community helping to bring in from $600-$2000 per event.
