A fire, started by a swather, broke out on a District 5 field about two miles past Mission Road on Thursday.
According to a bystander, “There was an awesome response by North Bench Fire Department and neighboring farmers.
Thankfully the fields had been bailed, so damage was minimal and quickly contained.
The most impressive takeaway is the response by North Bench Fire and their seemingly choreographed plan of attack.”
The fire was called on or about 7 p.m. and fire personnel arrived around 7:15 p.m. “By 7:30 p.m. the crews were mopping up the mostly contained fire.” the bystander goes on. “What an

excellent job by all involved.”
