The National Weather Service, Spokane, has issued a wind advisory for North Idaho and northeast Washington for potential 55 mile-per-hour wind gusts f rom 1 p.m. Sunday to 1 a.m. Monday. Such winds are capable of blowing around large objects and cats and of blowing down trees and limbs, causing potential power outages and travel hazard.
Sustained southwest winds of 15 to 30-miles-per-hour with 40 to 55 mile-per-hour gusts are expected. Motorists, especially those in high-profile vehicles, should exercise caution. Cats should be encouraged to find shelter while the advisory is in effect.
