Investigation continues and Chisolm Road in north Boundary County remains closed after a shooting incident Saturday night left two people injured, one in serious condition. Details remain sketchy, but according to Boundary County Public Information Officer Andrew O’Neel, the incident occurred during a confrontation over use of an easement road accessing private property in which several people were armed.
The two injured, a man and a woman, were alert and oriented when medics arrived at a residence on That Way, a small road off Chisolm Road near Farm to Market Road. The woman suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder, the man was shot in the ankle.
Both were transported by ambulance as neither medical helicopter or fixed wing airplane were able to fly due to weather, one to Boundary Community Hospital, the other to Bonner General.
