Kids young and old worked together and had plenty of fun helping the Easter Bunny and the Bonners Ferry Rotary Club get ready for Boundary County’s biggest annual Easter Egg Hunt taking place at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at the Boundary County Fairgrounds, 6567 Recreation Park Road, Bonners Ferry.
Somebody has to color each and every one of the 1,970 plain white hard boiled eggs to transform them into Easter eggs to be hidden by the Easter Bunny for many of Boundary County’s kids to find, and the ages-old tradition of the residents at the Restorium run to the rescue continues this year as the 160 dozen eggs arrived this morning, delivered by spring chickens to assistant activities director Leslie Barbacci, who coordinated the monumental effort.
Helping out were a jubilant bunch of pre-schoolers from 9B Family Foundations. Unbeknownst to them, while they were helping color Easter eggs, that wily-old Easter Bunny slipped back in, so they got a special surprise Easter Egg hunt all their own!
