Peggy Louise (Althauser) Weyer passed away on April 12, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born April 6, 1949 in Centralia, Washington, to Donald and Frances (Anderson) Althauser. There will be a celebration of life at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Putters Restaurant, Northeast McWilliams Road, Bremerton, Washington.
She married Norman Weyer and lived in Port Orchard. Peggy enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, crocheting, gardening, baking, playing cribbage and pinochle, and traveling. She lived in the Virgin Islands for a short time with her daughter, where she enjoyed many days at the beach collecting seashells. She loved animals, and helped many family and friends taking care of their houses and animals while they were away.
Peggy’s family was very important to her. She would always ensure to call her family members regularly and when she would visit, she always planned to spend a few days in one place, and a few at another so everyone could get their quality time with her. There never seems to be enough time and everyone would always want more time with her. Even though Peggy is not here, her love for and fond memories of everyone who knew her will be with us forever.
Peggy is survived by her children; Tracy (Vern) Parrish, Naples, Matt (Jessica) Weyer, Republic, Washington, and Andy Weyer of Bremerton, siblings Janet (Don) Sherman of Bremerton, Art Althauser, Centralia, Washington, and Candy (Wayne) Cary, Kingston, Washington, grandchildren: Bryan, Tyler, Amanda and Anthony, great grandchildren Jackson, Clyde and Creed. several nieces and nephews and her faithful dog companions Frank and Yogi.
