The International Kootenay Lake Board of Control will hold its annual public meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, at the Kootenai River Inn, 7196 Plaza Street, Bonners Ferry. There also will be an option to participate virtually.
No registration is required for in-person participation, although we ask that you complete a sign-in sheet at the door. You may register on the Zoom platform to participate in the webinar.
At the meeting, the board will present information on the regulation of Kootenay Lake and the operation of Corra Linn Dam under the International Joint Commission’s Orders of Approval. The board also will present information on Kootenay Lake water level management, an overview of lake levels to date including the later part of 2023 and 2024, provide an update on board projects, and hear questions and comments from the public regarding lake level management and board activities.
Annual public board meetings normally alternate each year between Nelson, British Columbia, and Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
The International Kootenay Lake Board of Control oversees the Corra Linn Dam at the outlet of Kootenay Lake in British Columbia, which receives water from tributaries flowing through Idaho, Montana and British Columbia.
