Lester and Susan HallLester Connie Hall, 73, and his wife, Susan Marie (Taylor) Hall, 71, of Bonners Ferry, died as a result of a traffic accident June 29. Their remains will be returned to Ohio where a private remembrance will be held.

Les was born August 21, 1950, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, to Raymond Cecil Hall and Verlie (Jones) Hall. A few years later the family moved to Clyde, Ohio. Les graduated from Clyde High School and later retired from the Whirlpool Corporation in Clyde.

Sue was born November 16, 1952, in Bellevue, Ohio, to Wilbur Joseph Taylor and Rosemary (Ruffing) Taylor. The family later settled in Tiffin, Ohio. Sue graduated from Calvert High school in 1971 and later the Bowling Green State University School of Nursing. She retired from the St. Francis Home in Green Springs, Ohio.

They were married on January 12, 1973. Les and Sue loved the outdoors and started out their married life together in southern Idaho, exploring all over the west, fishing, camping, hiking, hunting and motorcycling. After their sons were born, they moved back to Ohio to be nearer to family.

In 2007, after their boys were out of college and settled in the west, Sue and Les moved back to Idaho. They found several acres on a mountaintop in northern Idaho where they built a home. They enjoyed exploring the west with their camper and visiting their children, family and friends.

Les and Sue are survived by their sons, Matt and Andy, along with Andy’s wife, Beth (Toombs), and their granddaughters, Aubrie and Kailynn. Les is survived by his sister, Wyvonnie (Carl) Maines. Sue is survived by her sisters, Chris Gottschalk, and Cathy (Bob) Swenson, and brothers, Tom and Pat Taylor.

Les was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Kimberly Dyson-Barrett and brother, E. Ronnie Hall. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Linda Taylor and brother-in-law, Dave Gottschalk.
