Scouting of America Bonners Ferry troops invite the community for an evening of fun at an upcoming recruitment event for all three units at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, at the Boundary County Fairgrounds. The program is open to all youths from kindergarten to 18 years old.
The girl’s troop will be cooking up Dutch oven stew for tasting and the boy’s troop will have lashing and scout crafts available. The scouts made a catapult and a slingshot that will be in use with targets. There will also be fun games for the younger children as well.
The scouts are always looking for volunteers as well. Opportunities for den leaders, committee members, and volunteering skills are available.
