Hope House and owners Eli and Anna Pine are ready to help any time a Boundary County family faces disaster or need, but on rare occasion they need the community’s help. With Eli facing health issues and Anna spending much of her time helping him, now is such a time.
With the larders nearly empty, Hope House is in need of meat to fill their freezers, and they welcome both cash contributions and packaged frozen meats, including pork, beef and chicken … they also welcome game.
A GoFundMe account, Help Fill Hope House Freezers, has been established for monetary donations or donations can be mailed to Hope House, 5100 Camelot Lane, Moyie Springs, ID 83845. To arrange delivery of meat, please call ahead, (208) 946-9947.
Hope House is a non-profit organization that has been operating out of its current location since 2011. Our mission is to assist individuals and families facing financial difficulties and unable to afford basic necessities. We are proud to serve our community by offering a variety of great clothing, food items, hygiene, and household essentials.
Thanks to the community’s generosity, they can maintain a steady supply of donations in great condition.
“We welcome and appreciate donations of any type, but we request that all donations be in good condition,” their website says. “Additionally, monetary donations help us fill in the gaps when we need more essential items such as diapers, toilet paper, dish soap, and other household items. We focus on providing items people cannot buy with SNAP benefits.”
At Hope House, “we are simply here to help, with no strings attached.” While they have guidelines for how much individuals and families can utilize our services each month, their aim is to offer assistance rather than long-term support.
“Our team is committed to serving with compassion and respect,” the website said, “and we are always available to provide support and guidance as needed.”
Eli and Anna are proud to be a part of this community and will continue to serve those in need with kindness and generosity.
