36th Annual Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner, 10 a.m. to 2 p. m. Thursday, November 27, Three Mile Cafe, 51031 US-95, Bonners Ferry.
Honoring the memory of the late Chuck Quillan, who established the Three Mile Cafe and in 1989 began the tradition of serving a free traditional Thanksgiving dinner to everyone who came through the door on Thanksgiving.
Dine-in or to go, turkey and all the trimmings will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until the food runs out. Donations will benefit Care n Share, Second Chance Animal Adoption and the Bonners Ferry High School Special Education Program.
It was Chuck’s way of saying “thank you,” and the tradition lives on. Rich or poor, local or passing through, all are welcome.
