The National Weather Service, Spokane, has issued a winter storm watch for North Idaho and northeast Washington, calling for as much as a foot of new snow from Tuesday afternoon to Thursday morning, with potentially heavy snow coming down nearly all day Wednesday.
Travel could be extremely difficult throughout the region.
