The National Weather Service, Spokane, has issued a winter weather advisory as a quick burst of snow is poised to fall ahead of the Friday morning commute. Combined with a rapid drop in temperature to at or below freezing could make driving conditions a challenge.
Around two inches of snow is expected below 3,000 feet and four inches at higher altitudes. Snow rates are expected to be light, but rapidly freezing temperatures are expected to exacerbate adverse road conditions.
The advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. today to noon Friday.
