Boundary County Solid Waste is currently looking to hire a full time Equipment Operator. Selected candidate will work at the Main Landfill. Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Job description is as follows, but not limited to:
- Operates and maintains a variety of heavy equipment and trucks e.g. but not limited to: loaders,
excavators, compactor, garbage packer trucks, roll-off trucks, bulldozer grader, snow removal
trucks and powers tools. - Follows all local, state, and federal safety and sanitation policies, rules, and regulations.
- Performs safety inspections on equipment.
- Performs scheduled maintenance and services.
- Prepare accurate documents required.
- Performs repairs on all equipment.
- Fills in for other department staff in whatever capacity required. Some overtime may be
required. - Performs general labor as required.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Starting Wage is $20.23 per hour. Experience is required. Must possess and maintain a valid Idaho Commercial Drivers License – Class A or B. Must have a valid DOT Medical Card and have an Air Brake Endorsement.
