After ten years of great wine, great food, great company and great friends, Lillian Lonborg, heart and soul of one of the premier wine bars in the region, says it’s time for she and her husband, Kris, to slow down, get in a little more rest and relaxation. Do some traveling. By which she means put in a lot more hard work on their beautiful Bonners Ferry home! Either way, she is offering a turn key opportunity at a steal of a price.
“I am officially in my tenth year at Heart Rock Wines!” she said. “Thank you all for your unstinting support, kindness, friendship and such a lot of love and laughter. It’s been my privilege to know and serve you, and our life-long friendships will continue on. I’m retiring to be with my family more – most of whom are in different states or countries.”
Heart Rock Wines, fronting the city parking lot right off Highway 95 in downtown Bonners Ferry is the shining, tucked away gem of the Gem State here in beautiful North Idaho.
“I am proud to have made Heart Rock into a Top Ten Idaho Wine Bar and even more recently, one of the Top Five,” Lillian said. “I have garnered many brilliant reviews and believe that the focus on Pacific Northwest Wines has really helped to shift wine drinkers’ opinions toward local, biodynamic, boutique, hand-crafted Northwest Wines, and away from those more corporate and “ordinary but expensive” experiences.”
The wine bar is also a retail outlet for award winning wines as well as a carefully curated selection of craft beer, cider and mead. Heart Rock also offers a range of champagnes, craft distilled cocktails, Love Pop greeting cards and fun wine-themed knick knacks. I would really love to see a wine lover continue to cultivate this much-needed social and cultural oasis, and take it in a positive direction with further growth and prosperity for the new owner.”
She currently offers a selection of wines from around the world, and would welcome a new owner who has a flair for Californian Wines as well. Her personal focus has been on the Pacific Northwest, particularly Washington and Idaho.
“I must admit to that choice being led not just by a ‘shop local’ desire, but also my personal palate. PNW wines are unbelievably great value for money.”
Her asking price for Heart Rock Wines, the wine bar and retail stock is $55,000. It comes with a great landlord with extremely reasonable rent in the Bonnerport Building.
