Bonners Ferry’s BOUNDLESS vocal ensemble performed to a standing ovation at Carnegie Hall toward the end of April, and the small-town ensemble received big New York City accolades for their brilliant performance!

BOUNDLESS, directed by the inimitable Vicki Blake Thompson, was invited to perform as part of a mass choir singing works by composer Ola Gjeilo, under the direction of Maestra Irene Messoloras. This was their second Carnegie Hall performance.

“It is always so exciting for us to make music in a venue like this and with an orchestra as well as a choir. The Twilight Mass, which was our primary work, is not something which could be sung with our local ensembles. At times there were 12 vocal parts. We were joined by choirs from across the US to create a 200 voice choir which resounded vibrantly in the great acoustics of Carnegie Hall.”

Our Bonners Ferry choirs will be starting up again this fall and all singers are welcome to join. They rehearse starting the first week in September Performances will be the weekend of October 18-20. Scores and part specific recordings will be available in July. Three different choirs: a men’s ensemble, a women’s choir- SPIRITSONG, and BOUNDLESS will each share four to five songs . Interested singers should contact Vicki Blake Thompson at vickiblake1@mac.com.
