Seniors Center LogoThe Senior Hospitality Center (SHC) is issuing this post to address and correct recent misinformation regarding our membership policy. Contrary to recent rumors, SHC continues to welcome new senior guests and is committed to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for all seniors in our community.

SHC remains dedicated to serving the needs of seniors by offering a variety of programs and services aimed at enhancing their quality of life. We understand that the spread of inaccurate information can create confusion and concern among our community.

Due to the membership process being eliminated by the prior administration, presumably as far back as 2022, we want to assure everyone that once the audit is completed, SHC will be moving forward with resuming membership enrollment.

We encourage all eligible seniors to join and take advantage of the numerous benefits our center provides, including:

  • Daily social activities and events
  • Health and wellness programs
  • Nutritional meals and dining options
  • Educational and recreational classes
  • Support groups

All seniors are welcome to come in and enjoy our food and services at any time – with or without a membership.

SHC is committed to maintaining clear and open communication with our members and the public. We urge everyone to verify information through our official channels and contact us directly with any questions or concerns. Our team is always available to provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding our services and membership policies.

To further dispel any confusion, as of April 1, 2024, SHC has resumed its monthly Board Meetings after having been reduced to quarterly meetings – per the former Chairman of the Board’s motion. Therefore, we invite all seniors, their families and the community to attend all future board meetings and are thrilled to see the community’s sudden interest in the Seniors Hospitality Center after many years of oversight and neglect.

The Senior Hospitality Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors in Boundary County. Our mission is to provide a supportive and engaging environment where seniors can thrive socially, emotionally and physically.
