‘In ourselves the future lies;’ BFHS Class of 2024 pursue their destinies

Kenny Mendenhall Stadium will once again be the final setting for another class of Bonners Ferry High School graduates, their work done, their games played, tests taken. At 11 a.m. Saturday, weather permitting, family, friends and classmates will fill the news bleachers, the field on which many played, there to bear witness that these young men and women, having met or exceeded the standards established, are ready and prepared to step away from home and their parent’s hearth, to make their own way, their own hearths and homes, their own careers, their own futures

The Bonners Ferry High School Band, less her graduates, will open Saturdays graduation ceremony, sounding the processional as the BFHS Class of 2024 takes their place their seats, then bring all assembled to their feet for the National Anthem. High school principal Lisa Iverson will bid all welcome, Lindsey Onstott will deliver the class president’s address.

Braylynn Bayer will give the salutatory address, guest speaker Jaycee Atkins will deliver her remarks and  Damon Madson will give the valedictory address, then begins the procession for diplomas.

Paul Bonnell will announce the graduates and School District 101 Superintendent Jan Bayer will award diplomas.
