A change of plea hearing has been set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, for Richard Cowell III in Bonner County court before Judge Susie Jensen.
He was charged with rape of a child 16 or under and criminal conspiracy to commit lewd and lascivious conduct on February 6 in Boundary County. He had pled not guilty with trial set for August 11.
His wife, Katherine, charged with lewd and lascivious conduct, is scheduled to go on trial at 9 a.m. Monday, July 14.
Both are being held on $1-million bond and face life in prison.
