The Badgers played the course at Indian Springs Ranch and Wilderness Club Wednesday and Thursday in the Lincoln County High School Eureka, Montana, tournament, and the Badger ladies brought home the trophy and the boys came in fifth.
Braylyn Bayer carded a two-day total of 157 strokes to win the girl’s title and her sister Avery finished two strokes behind at 159 for a second place individual finish, leading the Lady Badgers to a 198-over-par win … 98 strokes ahead of the second place finisher.
Nolie Hiatt carded 218 for a 10th place finish, Callie Bateman 236 for 16th, and Sydney Hinthorn 261 and 23rd.
Eli Blackmore led the Badger boys’ effort with 169 strokes and seventh place as the team scored 183 over par. Chago Jiminez finished in 17th place with 188 strokes, Jacob Bliss shot a 195 for 24th, Tyson Tadlock came in 27th with 203 and Makeen Loretto shot 246 for a 36th place finish.
The Badger girls traveled to the Northcutt/Mt. Spokane girls invitational on Friday and the team is on the road to Timberlake for a 9 a.m. start Monday, April 22, to Lakeside at 8 a.m. Tuesday and at home at 9 a.m. Friday to take on Timberlake.
