Trump sweeps county caucus

Idaho votes logoA total of 526 Boundary County Republicans signed in at the middle school for the 2024 GOP presidential caucus and overwhelmingly gave their support to Donald Trump, giving him a 91-percent approval rating with 462 votes to runner-up Nikki Haley’s 39 votes. Ryan Binkley, who dropped out last week, garnered a single vote.

Of candidates who have already dropped out, Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswami both got three votes.

In all 508 votes were cast, one of them unmarked. County caucus officials think the discrepancy is likely due to a miscount in the number of ballots delivered to the county in sealed envelopes.

Statewide, Trump claims all 32 Idaho delegates.
