“The Outta Shapers” of Bonners Ferry sponsored by Turner Plumbing, competed in Hoopfest in Spokane over the weekend, the largest three on three basketball tournament in the country.
The Outta Shapers were Jesse Banning, Teigan Banning and Keith Coulson with Bonners Ferry eighth grade boys basketball coach and team captain Shane Banning. They were one of numerous teams that were in the “family” bracket.
The Outta Shapers kicked off of the weekend on Saturday with two wins and a loss. They played hard and were able to keep themselves out of the losers bracket. They started off this morning with a win. The last game of the day was a heartbreaking loss in overtime.
Shane Banning and the rest of the team spoke fondly of the memories brought by Bonners Ferry Swish and thought “wouldn’t it be nice to bring it back?!”
