Kel Becker, the daughter of Dr. Marty and Teresa Burkholder Becker, Bonners Ferry, is asking her friends and all the community’s prayer warriors to keep her partner Ryan in their hearts and lifted in prayer.
He has been hospitalized from a potentially life threatening condition that’s likely auto immune and is literally causing his body to eat itself. They think it might be a condition called pyoderma gangrenosum or potentially autoimmune vasculitis, but no one knows for sure.
What they do know is that it’s extremely painful — on par with a burn patient.
“We’re hoping that they find not only a diagnosis and successful treatment here soon for what is still a debilitating mystery illness, but that he’ll also receive adequate pain relief and peace of mind in the midst of what is a terrifying situation,” Kel said. “If you could please keep Ryan in prayer and share your encouragement, it would mean so much to him and to all of us, thank you!”
